Young Lives v Cancer

Last year from Hampshire, CLIC Sargent supported 194 children and young people who had cancer (and their families). The vast majority of whom were supported at Southampton General Hospital.

We seek the support of the Hampshire Scouts to help fundraise for our new Home from Home please – a safe haven away from the wards for young cancer patients, and their families, close by to the hospital.

£1.7million is needed to buy and renovate a property in Southampton to be ready for Autumn 2018. We would really appreciate it if Scout Groups could take up the challenge to raise £250+. For example, £250 can pay for a builder to work a day on the renovation work; £289 could pay for a washing machine.

We can provide fundraising materials and our jam packed fundraising guide and let the local community know what you are up to on our local Facebook page.

Please contact Liz Blunt if your Group, Colony, Pack, Troop or Unit would like to support this challenge: liz.blunt@clicsargent.org.uk or ring on 07944 696 858. www.clicsargent.org.uk

Please contact Liz directly if you think you can support this worthwhile cause.
