Saving the memory of the boy hero – Jack Cornwell

The National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth are saving the memory of the boy hero – Jack Cornwell.

A VICTORIA Cross was awarded to boy sailor, Leyton-born John ‘Jack’ Cornwell. He was awarded the highest award for bravery after dying aged just 16 from injuries sustained during the 1916 Battle of Jutland in the North Sea.
