Hi Everybody,
Over the last few months, we have had a few young people drop out of Project 19, and one person move to the WSJ.
We therefore now have a limited number of spaces left for new participants on the Project 19 Expedition to the USA in the summer of 2019.
Project 19 is the secondary expedition that has been offered to all those that applied to the World Scout Jamboree, but we were unable to offer a WSJ place to.
The expedition has 85 participants, and 20 leaders, but to fill two coaches we need 110. The expedition has now been split down into 4 working teams, and they have meet for there first training weekend.
The expedition is a 3 week long summer camp in the USA. During this, we will be taking part in a road trip, visiting New York, West Virginia, Tennessee and Florida. During the road trip, we will be undertaking loads of activities, sightseeing, and a day visit to the World Scout Jamboree.
The expedition is open to those approximately between there 14th and 18th birthday as of 22nd July 19 (we can be a little bit flexible on the age), so we are looking at those that are currently older Scouts / younger Explorers.
More information is in the Q&A document – Project 19 Participant Q+A
Application form – Project 19 Participant Application Form – Open II
Information on how to make payments – P19 How to make payments
A poster showing some of the highlights – Project 19 Poster
We only have a limited number of spaces left, so this is now offered on a fist come (the first to get there application forms in), first served basis.
