Kayaking & Canoeing Permit Assessment Day

Another opportunity for members to gain an adventurous activity permit in kayaking or canoeing (maximum B1 water classification). These include opportunities for young people to gain personal & leadership activity permits. 



Practical Assessment Day

Kayaking/Canoeing – 1 October 2017 (0930 hours to 1630 hours)–Hawley Lake, Gibraltar Barracks, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey, GU17 9LP  – The assessment will only allow applicants to gain a maximum of B1 water classification if suitable. PLEASE CHECK THE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA TO SEE IF YOU HAVE THE SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE BEFORE SIGNING UP. For those outside of Hampshire the cost per person is £15, there is no charge for Hampshire members. Closing date for bookings is 17 September 2017.

Please bring your boating kit, a packed lunch and refreshments. If you wish to bring your own kayak on the kayak assessment day then please do so. To book yourself on an assessment day please fully complete the below application form in Word and email to Paul Mant at by the booking date specified, please do not turn up at the assessment day with your completed form as you will not be able to take part. The below completed medical form and payment (if applicable) should be brought with you to the assessment day. If you require a renewal of a water activity permit, then please contact a County Assessor directly to discuss renewing. You can obtain details of assessors by either using Compass (guidance available) or by contacting the Manager of the Activity Permit Scheme at
