Beavers Picnic in the Park 15/05/2016

After 3 hugely successful picnics in 2015 we are doing it all over again and making it bigger and better for the 30th Birthday of Beavers in 2016! Again there will be 3 venues to choose from so there will be one near to you. Each site will have different activities depending on what is already available and the main aim is to have an opportunity for you to meet with Beavers from other colonies and districts and play together. Each Beaver and leader will get an exclusive woggle.

The theme is party in the park! It is the queen’s 90th birthday as well as our 30th Birthday and the 100th birthday for Cubs so a good reason for a party!

For only £2 per Beaver, no charge for Leaders, come and have an Afternoon of Fun and Friends

Woggles are available in 14 different colours so you can pick your favourite, match lodge colours or there is always good old maroon.

Itchen Valley Country Park, Eastleigh

Our picnic will be 14:00 – 17:00 and as well as being able to use the public facilities such as the adventure playground and play trail we will have our own trail, a mini-beast challenge, massive pass-the-parcel and more! We would love you to bring along your bunting (challenge 25!) and prove we have taken over the park. Please be aware that the only toilets are the ones at the visitor centre – we have no control over that.

The Vyne School, Basingstoke

Our picnic will be  13:00 – 16:00 (TBC) and will include all the fun and games you’d expect from a Basingstoke East party. If you haven’t experienced one your in for a surprise! We’ll have party games, campfire songs, collage making and most importantly we’ll be getting lots of the 30 challenges ticked off.

Hundred Acre Wood (West Walk Car Park), Wickham

The third picnic will be 12:00 – 16:00 and will include party games, songs, meeting lots of other Beavers including a special group photo and also time to enjoy the park and adventure playground

You don’t have to go to the picnic nearest you, all picnics are open to all! Please use the form below to book then send the payment to Chris (details on last step of booking). Due to lead times on woggles to guarantee yours will be available on the day we need booking by Monday 25th April (22:00). If that doesn’t give you enough time book by Friday 6th May and you’ll get your woggles after the event.

The link to book is http://goo.gl/forms/xhV2VeYc0R and when you get to the end you get a link you can save if you need to change your responses.

More details will be sent once we have your booking but if you have any questions let us know! – michael.collins@scouts-hants.org.uk
