The essential part of the Scouting experience lies in the Youth Programme. Youth Programme in Scouting not only refers to the activities, but also as to how and why they are done. Overall, activities are seen as a means rather than a goal in themselves and create opportunities for each person to develop skills and attitudes and acquire knowledge.

2015 Programme Updates

Early 2015 the updated programme for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers was rolled out to the movement. With the transition period for the updates ending on the 30th September 2015 the new programme is now in full swing. A dedicated site has been set up to support to launch of the updates - this can be found at prepared.scouts.org.uk
