Thank You and Good Luck
31st August 2017, 7:00am

As my term as County Commissioner of Hampshire Scouting draws to a close, I wanted to say a big thank you to the many, many people who have supported and advised me over the past 8 years.

Thank you to my Deputy CCs, to the Core Team members, to the County Executive, to the ACCs  and their teams supporting Sections, Activities, Districts, Adult Support, and Specialist Areas, to the DCs, to the Youth Council, to the Expeditions, and to the Leaders and young people in the Groups and Districts across Hampshire who make Scouting happen every week.

Hampshire Scouting is something we can all be very proud of. I’ve been privileged to be its steward and representative as CC, but the success and achievement is yours.

Tonight on BBC South Today we are expecting to have coverage of our Tanzania expedition, and I can think of no better way to end my term than by celebrating the adventure, youth development and creating a better world that this and so many other Hampshire Scouting activities put into practice.

I know that Hampshire Scouting will be in good hands with our new County Commissioner, Martin Mackey, and I wish him all the best for the future.

Thank you for an amazing eight years as CC. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

Adam
