R.I.P. Nick Brisland

Hampshire Scouting was very sad to hear of the death of Nick Brisland in a tragic motorbike accident on Friday 24th April.

Nick was a popular and caring 19-year old member of KABOOM Scout Network in Itchen North, as well an active and larger-than-life cast member of Roverang. His passing leaves a big hole among his family, friends, and local Scouting, as well as at McDonalds where he worked, and the motorcycling community. Tributes have been pouring in, and on Saturday evening there was a Ride Out by hundreds of bikers to show their respect for Nick – watch it here.

Nick’s funeral will be at 10am on Saturday 9th May at Hedge End (Wessex Vale) Crematorium, Bubb Lane
West End SO30 2HL. Local Scouting will be providing a Guard of Honour, and everyone attending is asked to wear something orange.

Please light a candle in Nick’s memory, and remember his family and friends at this difficult time.

Adam Jollans, County Commissioner, Hampshire Scouting
