Project Compass Update
8th December 2013, 12:11pm

Update on Hampshire Compass implementation plan.

Project Compass update

Following a change in the Headquarters timescale for Compass, we now plan to migrate Hampshire from the current system to the Compass system at the start of October 2014.  The County implementation has been updated to reflect this.  The first Counties will migrate in July and so any teething problems should have been sorted by the time we migrate.

You will probably have noticed that the next issue of POR has been soft-launched for comment ( http://members.scouts.org.uk/newsandviews/module/31/866/por-updates? )

This includes the following rule change in 14.12.b ):
“Compass must contain accurate and up-to-date information on all youth, adult Members and Associate Members of the Association as well as connected individuals such as Executive Committee Members, Occasional Helpers and relevant parents/carers.”

This rule applies from when a County migrates.

The Hampshire plan is to migrate all adult data from the existing system to the new one at the start of October then gives Groups and Districts 3 months to add all their youth records before the required deadline of the end of 2014.

Here is the revised County implementation plan.
