Portsmouth Pride 2016
Hampshire Scouts Pride 2016
Portsmouth Scouts are proud to be part of the City’s celebrations, and welcome Members from both County and National Scouting to join them.  This is the second time Portsmouth has held Pride for some 13 years!  We’ll not only be taking part in the parade, but will also be found shouting for Scouting with a recruitment stand.  It’s a great opportunity to open up the fun, challenge and everyday adventure of the Movement to even more young people and adult volunteers.
Pride Parade
The Pride Parade is FREE to take part in and we will be meeting at 11:30 – 12:00.  The Pride Parade will set off at 1pm.  (No ticket is required for the Pride Parade).
Pride Event
This is a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased through
A fun filled day packed with live music, entertainment, rides, stalls and bars, come and join in on Portsmouth’s only Pride event.
Attractions for the day include:
• Main stage
• Acoustic stage
• Cabaret tent/disco tent
• Funfair rides
• Community and retail stalls
• Bars and much more….
Portsmouth Pride will open at 1pm on Southsea Common.
Entry & Re-entry till 8pm.  Live music ends at 22:30.
The Scout Association is open to all young people and adults regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.  We have a clear Equal Opportunities Policy and attend Pride events to demonstrate our commitment to inclusion.  We openly welcome LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) Members, have volunteers specialising in diversity (including our national team of Specialist Advisers) and even a national unit supporting LGBT adults in Scouting (FLAGS).
