You will be a highly driven and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work with volunteers and hard-to-reach communities. You will be committed to the strategy of The Scout Association (TSA) and buy into the organisation’s values.
Much of the role revolves around school presentations to 5-6 year olds and persuading their parents to become involved with Scouting. By creating places for young people to join Scouting you will increase their opportunities to develop skills for life. You will be able to carry out your own administration and be comfortable with Microsoft Office and using on-line databases. You will have a people-centred approach to your work with excellent inter-personal, written and spoken communication skills.
With a full driving licence you will need to travel widely across the Winchester local authority area (WCC) during mainly school hours and immediately after school. There will be some evening meetings.
