International Scouting is a key part of the Balanced Programme for all sections, through the Global Zone. Special international activities and badges include:
– Global Challenge (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts)
– International Friendship Award (All Sections)
– Explorer Belt (Explorers, Scout Network)
In recent years, Scouts from Hampshire have travelled around the world, in Europe and far beyond, including to The Gambia, Uganda, Belize and Nepal. For your international adventure, follow these steps:
1. Start with visiting http://members.scouts.org.uk/supportresources/search/?cat=52,181
2. Contact the ACC(International)
3. Complete and submit the Part A of the Visits Abroad form and submit to the ACC(International)
4. Once approved, you can start the detailed planning, and recruitment for your expedition
5. 8 weeks before the expedition, re-submit Part A, along with Part B to the ACC(International)
6. Once approved, receive International Letter of Introduction from CIA
7. Enjoy your trip abroad – and complete the Report-Back Form when you return
