Space Camp 6-7 July 2019 – Ferny Crofts

April Update

Final booking is now open. This is the time to login and add all your attendees (Beavers, Leader, Young Leaders) and select visit durations, t-shirts and provide and important medical, access or dietary requirements (more details will be taken when we open the medical forms).

Details on the t-shirts are available here. This year we are letting you chose your t-shirt colour so you can have your colony or group colour, please use the same colour for your whole booking unless there is a good reason not to (like borrowing a leader from another colony etc…)

I encourage you to login and add yourself and any other definite attendees, you can always add more attendees later.

Pricing details are now confirmed:

  • £35 Per Beaver Scout to include camping, activities, t-shirt and goody bag
  • £10 Per Beaver Scout for catering (optional)
  • £10 Per Leader, Young Leader or other Adults to include camping, goody bag and catering if your Beavers are catered
  • £5 Per Leader t-shirt (optional)
  • £5 for Friday night to setup including Camp fees, supper and breakfast (optional, no Beavers on Friday night)

The new booking system is now live at bvr.org.uk/spacecamp. Please visit and signup now to secure your places. Deposit of £10 per Beaver Scout is required within 3 weeks of booking.

Plans are progressing for our most exciting County Beaver Camp yet!
We have increased numbers on last year but still expect to sell out as there are only so many little adventurers that you can get up a climbing tower!
July 2019 sees the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing which seems a great thing to celebrate. Programme wise we will be similar to last year with every Beaver Scout getting Archery, Cooking, Climbing (or similar), Fun Zone, the Space Zone and more!
With the increased numbers we won’t be able to offer catering in the same way as last time. What we will be offering is a collection service where we will prepare your meals (Saturday Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Breakfast & Lunch) for you to take back to your site to eat. This will reduce the queuing as it will already be prepared per site and as you will be providing your own dining shelter or similar less waiting around. You will of course still be free to self cater.
We will also have another great goody bag and t-shirt available and the badge is going to be quite special!
The event will again be a 1 night camp for Beavers with the opportunity for Leaders to arrive on the Friday night to get everything set up (no Beavers Friday).
There are still a few details outstanding which mean I cannot yet confirm final pricing. I don’t anticipate a big rise on 2017 so hope to offer it at £45 per Beaver Scout fully catered and am sure I won’t have to go above £50. Leaders and Young Leaders attending will pay a substantially subsidised rate.
Now I know you are super keen to secure your places. I am offering the chance to reserve places for £10 per Beaver Scout. This will be non- refundable unless the event is cancelled or substantially altered. Final payment will be due late Spring.
