Adult Training Information

Manager and Supporter Training

Dates for the remainder of 2018 and 2019 Manager and Supporter training covering Skills of Management, Meeting the Challenges and Achieving Growth can be found on the M&S page. Booking is through Eventbrite and can be found via the venue & booking links on the M&S page. Institute of Leadership and Management: The Scout Association’s Manager and Supporter Training has been recognised as a Development Programme with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ILM recognition is the benchmark of high quality, bespoke, in-house leadership and management training.

County Adult Training dates 2019

2019 County run training module dates can be found on the County Adult Training Modules page. The residential weekends and the Module 38 weekend (Camping Skills) tend to fill up fairly quickly so book your place as soon as possible. In 2019 the training team will be running two non-residential weekends one in March and one in September where you can book on one or more modules over the weekend.

There will also be a Presenters and Trainers course running in June 2019. For more details go to Presenters & Trainers information.

District run module dates can be found on the District Adult Training Modules page. These include Modules 1, 3, 6 & 10 (First Aid).

Gateway Qualifications

Alongside the Adult Training Scheme, it is possible for Members to work towards external recognition through the training and work they do as an adult in Scouting. One organisation which The Scout Association has a partnership with to do this is Gateway Qualifications.
