Module 10 - First Aid

First Response courses

Please note that HQ have removed the refresher course so all members now need to undertake the six hour course every three years. 

In order to complete the First Response during COVID19 you need to complete the First Response e-learning plus a Zoom session (dates below). This will give you a Virtual First Response valid for face to face Scouting.

Once we read a Green readiness level you will need to attend a short practical validation session to complete the first response which can be added to Compass.

If you have done an external course, please refer to the e-learning below for more details on how to convert these to first response

First Response courses cover the minimum First Aid level required for Leaders.


The courses uses online e-learning, followed by a face to face practical session.

First Response conversion for those who have already completed the 3 days First Aid at Work, 1-day Emergency First Aid at work or St John Schools FA (or similar)
